TL;DR this book as an audio version is very dense so you have to keep notes or just listen to small parts

A Clash of Kings: Book 2 of A Song of Ice and Fire

Just finished Part 1 on audiable of A Clash of Kings which is Book 2 of A Song of Ice and Fire (or Game of Thrones as most people call it from the TV name).

The story is very full in this book, and plenty of revieals and progress. Having audiable break the books up is a bit annoying but as they are very good and it does take me over a month to do half the book like this time is fine.

There feels plenty of Tyrian and Arria in this book and not quite the visual comedy galances in the TV show but still some funny bits.

This is currently my favourite book so happy to keep going with it.

Hunger Games Trilogy

I read these three books on audible, and very much enjoyed them.

The Hunger Games: Hunger Games Trilogy, Book 1

Suzanne Collins     11 hrs and 14 mins     30/10/2011

great reading and managed to read the first two before seeing the film. There are some nice themes and story in hear, and I do like the sort of post apocalyptic regrowth of people who have lost and learn technology again appeals, since The Prince books when I was young.

Seeing the film I think they did a good job with the casting and story.

The story sees sort of a few mega cities left and one of them is the ruling city. In the Ruling city has a lot of money and their people live a little like Rome with opulence and a lot of body modification and crazy colours, a bit like Paris plus a space port of other animals, though all are human.
The other cities are in various states of repair but most a bit like a modern medieval age, where there is little electricity and some official buildings and marshal law and some and the rest in older houses. Medical is often buy the book and flowers that her mother knows as there is only modern medicine in the capital.
